AWAKE

Steve was in Eden.
It was paradise.

He had completely blanked out as to how he had landed here.

Try as much as he could he could not recollect anything.

He looked carefully at himself.

All he could see was his skin which was completely covering majority of his body.

There was hair and nail growth covering areas where he could not view his skin

He could only look down his frontal and did not know the composition of his back.

There was no garment around him covering his body.

Having sensation of touch he felt himself all over and realised that even his back had the same skin feeling as his front.

He realised that he was encased all over in this material

All around it was a beautiful landscape.

It was so well taken care of but he could not see anyone around.

The terrine provided him with all things that brought a sense of satisfaction however deep down he craved for company.

He could not bear living alone and without communicating with someone other than himself.

He suddenly felt his life fast forwarded and suddenly there was another being besides him.

He recognised the face as that of Laurene.

He felt an ache in his side and as he touched his torso he felt an empty space where previously he could feel a rib.

One of them was missing.

The sudden presence of Laurene brought a feeling of ecstasy that made him forget the loss of his rib.

She was also in the same state as he was.

Just covered in the same material that he was covered with.

As his gaze swept from her top to toe he realised that there were some areas in her body that were sculpted differently.

Now happy in company they roamed carefree around the garden engrossed with each others thoughts and presence.

They went about plucking the various fruits around them and devoured them to satiate their bodily need of hunger and drank from the crystal clear water streams to quench their thirst.

There was only one particular fruit — APPLE - that was encased within a glass dome.

It was a Corning's Gorilla Glass enclosure which is fairly scratchproof.

Steve knew it could be broken as it was not as good as sapphire.

There had to be a way to override it and get access into the glass dome and eat the apple.

But as both of them approached the apple tree glass dome a voice boomed out warning them not to eat the apple.

The same voice in a very soft tone told them that they could enjoy everything else and stay happy.

Following this confrontation at the dome they moved away and they stayed happy until they came across The Alfa Romeo Logo.

Alfa Romeo's badge is made in round shape which encloses a heraldic red cross, the huge snake eating a man and golden Alfa Romeo letters which are located on the top of the circle..

Looking closely at the right side both Steve and Laurene noticed that the giant serpent which was gobbling up a man suddenly hissed to speak.

He tempted Laurene with the pleasures of the apple and the benefits they could have by gaining accessibility to the tree laden with the fruit.

When told that it was security locked probably with a code due to which they could not get into the glass dome the serpent very sly and sheepishly divulged the secret to access.

Thrilled at what they had learnt Steve and Laurene ran towards the dome.

Even prior to Laurene coming in his life Steve had always dreamt of making APPLE accessible to people around the universe.

They reached the base of the dome

The voiced boomed out with the warning.

However armed with the information that the serpent had given them they clicked up a lever in the side of the dome cutting off the voice and switching to silent mode.

Because of this swiching off action they could feel heavy vibrations all around them.

The atmosphere was very eerie.

They were however not stoppable now.

Steve knew what he had to do.

He had been tutored by the serpent.

At the base of the dome was fingerprint recognition feature to unlock the apple tree dome.

Laurene’s right hand thumb impression would unlock it.

As Laurene touched her right hand thumb on the button which said HOME nesting in the base of the dome there was a crashing sound as the glass shattered and crashed in a cacophony of sounds.

The dome was unlocked.

As Steve bent forward and grasped the apple from the tree he felt his body being shaken and his wife Laurene’s voice in the distance.

‘’are you awake - are you awake - ARE YOU AWAKE - ARE YOU AWAKE STEVE ??

The financial news is that Apple is going into bankruptcy.

Wake up, you have a JOB to do and save it from going under’’

Steve was Awake

He had to make a deal with Microsoft.

He did !!

The year was 1997 !!
